I'd like to register as a new parishioner.

I’m a returning Catholic.

I’m interested in learning more about the Catholic Church.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the parish located?

Transfiguration is located just northeast of Columbia in Blythewood, SC. We are just minutes from neighborhoods such as Lake Carolina, Longcreek, and the Summit. For a map and directions, click here.

When are the weekend Masses?

We have three weekend liturgies: Saturday afternoon at 4:00, and Sunday morning at 8:00 & 10:30. The 10:30 am is our most attended Mass, with coffee and donuts afterwards. The 8:00 am is our most simple Mass, when we sing the Mass parts unaccompanied. For this week's calendar, click here.

When is Sunday School for the children?

Our religious education classes for Kindergarten through 8th grade are Sunday mornings between the two Masses, from 9:00 to 10:15 am. Life Line, our high school youth ministry program, is held Sunday evenings. For more information, click here.

How may I have my child baptized?

We would love to help you give your child the gift of new life through Baptism! Baptisms are held once per month at the 4:00 pm Saturday Mass. We can also celebrate the baptism outside of Mass if the family prefers. The parents usually meet once with Father so that he can get to know them, and also attend a short preparation class. To plan a baptism, please call Valerie at the church office (803-735-0512).

Weddings at Transfiguration?

We want to help you have a beautiful wedding and a happy, Christ-centered marriage. Engaged couples meet with Father Andrew for preparation. Preparation should begin at least six months before the wedding. Please call the church office to schedule a first appointment so that Father Andrew can explain the process and answer your questions (803-735-0512).
